What you'll see at the show:

Conformation

Conformation

Conformation

The ultimate purpose of AKC conformation dogs shows is to evaluate breeding stock for structural soundness and conformation with breed standards. Although dog shows may appear to be more glamorous on the surface, the procedures used in the show ring have their roots in the same ones used by the 4-H to evaluate livestock. Obedience

Conformation

Conformation

Obedience competition takes the teamwork between a dog and handler to a whole new level. During AKC Obedience trials, handlers and their dogs perform an exacting series of actions specified by the judge including sits, downs, jumping and object retrieval. Novice trials are performed on-leash. All others are off-leash. Watch these dogs as they proudly earn AKC titles.

Rally

Conformation

4 - 6 Month Puppies

Rally requires teamwork between a dog and handler to demonstrate skills similar to Obedience, but is less formal and exacting. Dog and handler navigate a course laid out with signs. Rally allows dogs and handlers to practice and strengthen their skills as a series of simple to complex games. Novice and Intermediate levels are performed on-leash.

4 - 6 Month Puppies

There is nothing sweeter than watching a puppy having fun. The 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition is intended to introduce new exhibitors and their puppies to the dog-show world in a stress-free and relaxed environment. It also provides an opportunity for puppies to socialize with people and other dogs at an optimal time of their development.

Vendors

4 - 6 Month Puppies

Lure Coursing

Many vendors from multiple states have booths at this event. The booths have dog related items such as toys, treats, collars, leads, beds, and grooming products as well as blade sharpening and so much more.

Lure Coursing

4 - 6 Month Puppies

Lure Coursing

Fast and fun is the best way to describe this event. Lure coursing  is an introductory event fashioned after the sport of lure coursing. It tests a dog's basic coursing instinct, or hunting-by-sight ability by chasing an artificial lure. The test is non-competitive with one dog running at a time. Lure coursing provides a lively and healthy activity attractive to many dog owners.
