Companion Family Dog

Emphasis will be in making foundation skills more reliable and in introducing advanced skills which would be appropriate in a home setting. Exercises could include: 

• Walking on and off leash
• Coming when called with distractions
• Finding hidden items
• Obedience to cues at a distance
• Learning tricks with the option of earning a Tricks title
• An introduction to Scent Work 
  

Equipment needed:

• 6-foot leash (leather or fabric, comfortable in your hand)
• An appropriate collar for training purposes
• If using treats, a pocket with small, soft, tasty treats

Prerequisites: Beginning Obedience class, or CGC title. Must be 6 months or older. The Home Companion instructor will do an evaluation to verify this class is appropriate for the level your dog has achieved.
