Holly Wuest has been a lover of dogs and all animals her entire life. Dogs
have always been a huge part of her family and some of her best friends. She
started training dogs in 4-H when she was 9 years old with her Scottish Terrier.
Since then, she have never stopped. Along with showing in 4-H, she also judged
fun matches and fairs. She traveled with her leader to various towns to put on
workshops several summers in a row. When she moved to Coeur d'Alene, she adopted
Kora from Kootenai Humane Society and was excited to start training. Holly was
not happy with the first trainer she brought her to and became discouraged.
However, when she adopted Ozzy, Holly came across CDA Dog Fanciers and she 'fell
in love!' She has been taking classes through the club for the past couple of
years, became a member, assisted with classes and she now enjoys teaching as
well as continuing to participate in many classes. She is working with the kids
on the K-9s obedience and care class for 8 to 14 year olds. She is amazed at how
far her dogs have come since she has been involved in the club, and loves being
a part of this dog loving family. The support the members provide is
unsurpassable and loves learning from everyone. Her goal is to show Kora in a
rally competition, maybe fun match, in the next year.
